Gwendariff The Purple Star, 'Violet', was simply meant to be!

We were initially hoping to register our interest in a puppy a few years down the line, however waiting in Northern Ireland was this special little girl and we just fell in love.

Violet arrived home at Ferasheen at 8pm one September evening and by 8am the following day she certainly ruled the roost. Cheeky, inquisitive, mischeivous and highly affectionate are only some of her many character traits. You certainly know when Violet is about (her best buddy and chief co-conspirator being Reagan), and where people are Violet simply MUST be! In the evening Violet is always first to cosy up on the sofa with us, often getting in where a draft couldn't and there she will stay.

Violet has had a very promising start to her showing career, despite having had her puppy classes cut very short due to the outbreak of Covid-19, and we are so looking forward to campaigning her once dog shows restart.

We couldn't be more thankful to Diane and Alec for entrusting us with this wee girl and allowing her to make her home here at Ferasheen.

"Very much the baby at only 6 months. Very pretty head with soft expression, low set ears head long and lean. She stood very well and gained in confidence as she moved around the ring. Her owner was gentle with her and I am sure they will make a great partnership"

" Pretty baby of 8 months. Good eye, long lean head with correct ear, muscular neck leading on to correct shoulder placement, just enough body for age, lovely angulations and moved well when settled. Should have a bright future."

" 22 month bitch who covers the ground really well. Very pretty head & expression with plenty of work in her head. Long lean neck flows into well laid shoulders; a straight front with plenty of chest room, with ample depth. Well angulated quarters and a gently sloping topline, completed the picture. Well presented. Liked her a lot.

" A very pretty young lady, well balanced head with raised brows, showing a square muzzle of moderate depth. Nice dark eye and good pigmentation, kind expression, ears set low and close to head, good deep chest with well sprung ribs, correct topline gently sloping to hind quarters, good tight feet and well arched, once settled she oved freely and with drive covering the ground well, her coat is a lovely rich colour. Well deserved BOB '

" 2 year old bitch with a pleasant head with eyes of the correct colour and raised brows, correct occipital bone protuberance and slight arch to her long neck into good shoulders, she has a good forefront going into a deep chest, decent spring of rib, nice gently sloping topline into tail set which for me is a little low set on. She has good angles fore and aft with moderate bend to stifles and nice small feet with well arched tows. On the move in profile she showed nice forward extension'

" a very attractive well presented young lady, beautiful head and lovely dark eye, elegant neck which flows into well laid shoulders, firm in topline to correct croup and shapely quarters, her flowing and easy movement won her the class'

" A very striking girl who won the class on her steady, happy movement today. Moderate angulation, good bone and feet. Would prefer slightly less length of neck and needs to drop into her back end a little still. Good spring of rib and very well presented and handled.
